Nikhil Welankar founded WENNOVATE GLOBAL LLP on 18th April 2026. It offers Design Thinking-driven and AI-powered consulting, training, and advisory services to global customers. Our mission is to empower enterprises and upskill aspirants worldwide through Design Thinking-driven innovation.

Following is a short introduction of Nikhil:

UX research and design leader with 23 years of industry experience (5.5 years in the USA).
Led IBM Software Lab’s UX research organization in India, including 27 team members and 2 first-line managers located across Kochi, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad studios. Led APAC-Japan UX research mission under the guidance of the Global VP of UX Research.
Led 120+ UX projects for Fortune 500 companies spanning various sectors such as banking, insurance, telecom, retail, manufacturing, logistics, automobile, and healthcare.
Conducted 300+ user interviews, 200+ stakeholder interviews, 150+ usability tests and 50+ UX awareness sessions in India and the USA.
Authored 5 research papers and published them in prestigious international conferences such as USID 2008 (Bangalore, India), Mobile HCI 2008 (Amsterdam, Netherlands), CHI 2009 (Boston, USA), and India HCI 2010 (Mumbai, India). Authored several newspaper articles to spread UX domain awareness.
